Bill Sportsman Real Estate was founded in 1972 by Billy W. and Ivas Sportsman. Bill and Ivas were very involved with civic affairs in McKinney from the 60's until Bill's death in 2000 and Ivas in 2004. Ivas was the 1st woman to serve on the McKinney ISD Board of Directors in the 70's. Bill Sportsman Real Estate concentrated primarily on rural properties and land development during this time period with projects such as Wild Rose Farms and Sheffield Farms in Anna, Tx. and Berry farms in Melissa, Tx. The company was purchased by Bill's son in law, Mark Ragon, upon Bill's death in 2000. BSRE has grown into one of McKinney's most successful Real Estate companies over the years. With the merger of Bryant Realty in late 2007, BSRE now provides full service specialization in investment joint ventures of raw land and real estate owned businesses such as RV Parks, mobile home parks, mini storage complexes, and commercial retail centers along with providing expert management which increases profits and value.
